After the end of the domestic campaigns, there have been some transfers.
The most high-profile transfer is of Nuri Sahin, the young Turkish playmaker, from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid for a price of €10 million. Real Madrid have also signed from Bayern midfielder Hamit Altintop after his contract expired at the German club.
Another important transfer is that regarding Andrea Pirlo from Milan to Juventus. The ageing midfielder left Milan after 10 years of service and will join the team from Turin on a free transfer.
Bolton striker Johan Elmander has also agreed to join Turkish powerhouse Galatasaraay on a free transfer as his contract expires at the end of next month.
Verdict: Real Madrid have signed international team-mates at a cut price and both these lads can deliver. They have the firepower and energy that Madrid were lacking. Andrea Pirlo is one of the best players in his position and will be very helpful for Juventus if they want to win the Scudetto next season. Johan Elmander leaves Bolton at a bad time as this was the season he had actually settled in and will again take time to settle at a new club.
