Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal: Arsenal Humili8ed

R1+O at its best
A clash that usually has us at the edge of our seats for 90 minutes had half of us sitting back and laughing and the other half not staying long enough to witness the absolute brilliance of a manchester united side younger (YES YOUNGER) than arsenal rip them to shreds on a sunday night that may well had been United vs Arsenal U-17s Cause the score really wouldnt have been any different. A good header by danny welbeck, A set-piece hattrick for rooney , 2 goals of stunning precision from ashley young , A great 1-2 and finish from Park and a cocky chip from nani really summed up arsenals night. Goals from Van persie and walcott were merely consolation as the home team destroyed the visitors 8-2.
The last time arsenal conceded 8 goals was against loughborough in 1896 wihch is their worst league defeat in history and this came so close to being much worse had it not been some brilliant saves by schezny who really went against arsenals "we lose cause our goalkeepers shit" strategy. All of uniteds goals were pure class taking nothing away from a good volley by van persie and decent finish by walcott where de gea probably couldve done better. None of uniteds goals were really savable the one man who mustve done nothing wrong was the goalkeeper even though he conceded 8 goals. If anyones to blame its arsenals back four. How do you expect to win a game when your most experienced defender is koscielny? No offence to him but really he was never top class material and i dont know if he ever will be. Arshavin was playing like Nasri did a days ago when he decided hes not going to pass and have a go from anywhere he feels like Van persie and Ramsey were trying a bit but united were just breathtaking . Not only were the good on the ball they were amazing at getting it back too they had an advantage in possesion and even though arsenal did get their shots away de gea was very good. Phil jones showed some attacking prowess venturing forward whenever he got the chance going past players and making wide runs , Rooney who seems to have taken some tips from one david beckham is finally showing some signs of the specialist FK taker United has lacked since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo , Young showed his own ability by putting it in the top corner and then the side netting brilliantly he also was very lively all through creating loads of chances and dancing past players on the left as did Cristiano Ronaldo 2-3 years ago, Nani was a tad selfish but then i think 10-2 may have been a bit harsh on arsenal. The defence held up brilliantly giving sir alex a dilemma once Vidic and Ferdinand are fit. Welbeck was also lively in the 34 minutes he played.
All in all one word sums up united. Lively. They constantly created chances and really hit arsenal with everything but the kitchen sink , Cleverly and Anderson have this thing about them that fletcher and carrick lacked they have a fire in their bellies a will to perform andUare ready to work as hard going forwards as going back , Cleverley , I feel would be reminding some of the older United fans of a young Paul Scholes. Anderson on the other hand has this power about him. I know this starting to sound like a Manchester United fans take on the match but all in all there was only one team in the match, Arsenal's night was summed up by a red card for Carl Jenkinson who may have taken it just to get off the pitch away from the horror of being an Arsenal player on the night. City made a statement just a few moments before by making a mockery of tottenham and people thought that that may play on uniteds mind. Well, People thought wrong . Sir Alex's team bettered city and on a night where Tottenham were destroyed by one side of Manchester , Arsenal were destroyed by the other.
